I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
