It's a batch prepared mix that's loaded full of tastes associated with holiday season, which makes it excellent for hosting a celebration. Any leftover citrus syrup for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 servings
Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
Making the Cordial: Put all the ingredients into a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating to dissolve. Next, take off the heat and let it to cool down completely. Pour into a sealable bottle, close it and store in the fridge, where it will keep for around a month.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine all the liquids into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it best through muslin, to ensure it's fully clarified.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into your mixing glass packed with ice, gently stirring carefully for a minute to cool it down. Pour into a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
